People have to learn that human-to-human transmission means infected human-to-human transmission, you don't get it from healthy people no matter how much that would please the politically correct.
That is your opinion and assumption that you know what happened.
Other people can have opinions too and they just might differ from yours.

Do sick kids (cold symptoms that early on) make you change your vacation and travel plans ?

Any of you parents gone on vacation with sick kids and had to seek a doctor or take a trip to the hospital while on vacation ?

It happens all the time. Most illegals don't fly into the US. They could have been very legit with Visa's. Don't assume.
Sometimes -- if it's a matter of having to pay a small doctor bill in your own country and completely free medical and doctor bills if you travel to another country, people will travel.

Yes they could have had visitor visas, shopping passes, they could have even delayed seeking medical treatment while they got one.

Since no one in Texas has died, the form here seems to be very mild, and there are far too few cases already recovered for the baby to have encountered one and then died in 2 days.

Having a good immune system (20-45) is a liability with a pandemic flu.
Exactly because pandemic flus go around every 30-40 years or so. That's why they're the ones that affect the young but not the old. The old have had exposure to them and the young have not.

Our immune systems evolved to fight off different diseases, and those diseases vary according to what part of the world our ancestors came from. Diseases are not a "one size fits all" type of thing, they can behave differently in different groups of people. Pigs (swine) are originally from the "old world", so it's possible that Whites, Asians, and Blacks are more tolerant to a pig flu than a Native American or Latino would be.
There are other factors also. In Mexico a very popular food is made from pig lymph glands and salivary glands. If the pigs were sick with what might have been a mild enough influenza for a pig but infected lymph glands and salivary glands aka chorizo was distributed then that could expose Mexicans more than people who don't prefer that kind of food. Some people will eat only skeletal meat and avoid all glandular products for safety reasons.

Lymph nodes could be especially high in viral counts since they're the glands that fight infections.

No surprise. Sealing border and mass deportations is the right thing to do, but we know now that neither killer pandemics, killer drugs, cartel terrorists and murderers, illegals burdening the system and destroying many of our lives...absolutely nothing will make our elected officials want to do the will of the people by abandoning their own grand plans for our country. We should all see that government officials do not really care about what people want once they are elected to office. No reason to trust any politician.

Just another reason to close the damn borders and deporting each and every damn illegal in this country. Right now there should be NO passage allowed from Mexico into our country or anyone from our country allowed into Mexico.

Deadly new flu strain erupts in Mexico, U.S.

You got it, government doesn't care about it's citizens much, they care way more about the poor victims hiding in the shadows who are actually taking over the coutry.

Yes, I've gone on vacation and had kids get sick, had to find an urgent care center. I work in a pediatricians' office, and we get tons of calls from people on vacation with sick kids, including people who have gone to Mexico, a very popular destination here in Colorado.

Obama flu? President Obama has nothing to do with it. Many diseases are named after the places where they are first discovered.

Hong Kong flu
West Nile Virus
Lyme's disease- Lyme, CT
Ebola VHF- named after the Ebola River in Zaire
Marburg VHF- first detected in Marburg, Germany
Venzuelen Equine Encephalitis
Bolivian Hemorrhagic fever
Lassa fever- discovered in the town of Lassa, Nigeria
Rift Valley fever- Africa
Japanese Encephalitis
Colorado Tick fever
Norovirus- outbreak in an elem. school in Norwalk, Ohio
Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
Junin Argentinian Hemorrhagic Fever
Malta fever
St Louis Encephalitis

So in keeping with tradition, it should be called Mexican flu.

Texas governor would like to close the border down here but the White House has stated that the border will remain open even if this is declared a pandemic. Didn't say why though.

Not really. The accepted reason pandemic flu affects healthy adults (25-45) so disproportionately is due to an overreaction of the immune system.
