I don't have a high opinion of Savage. I think he's a loon, but that's not the point. Allowing people who I agree with to speak freely isn't really tolerance or freedom of speech, is it?
Lets see, Charles Barkley, Spike Lee, Jimmy the Greek, Carlos Mencia all have said racially insensitive thngs. Should they be banned to?
If the British choose to, that's their right.

And you would be ok with that? You think its a good thing that a country with such a great tradition of healthy debate and the freewheeling exchange of ideas would institute such a policy?
As much as I hate Savage, he's not in the same category with members of Hamas or Hezbollah.
The US not only tried to ban John Lennon, but under Reagan the US banned Graham Greene, at the time the most famous living British author whose books were on the reading list in virtually all US schools, due to Greene's criticism of Reagan's Central American policies.
Not to mention that the US currently has banned Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse.

England is an interesting country; lots of history, architecture, different kinds of people, scenic landscapes, but why would a dimwit want to visit a place where mega-churches are lacking, no bible belt(!)
England has no Bible Belt, but Wales does - and Ulster's also part of the UK....
And there are a few megachurches in the UK as well as some megamosques.

But whose neocon leaders wholeheartedly and enthusiastically sent troops to Iraq just like the US' neocon leaders.
You believe in torturing "suspected" terrorists and breaking International Law.
So don't try an fool anybody the you give a damn about individual rights or some silly UN regulation.
You're all about breaking the law....POS
Your self righteousness is breathtaking.
I do very much care about individual rights.
Just because I hold a different view then you on the appropriate degree of discomfort that may be inflicted on terrorists does'nt make this untrue.
I posted the reference as a refutation of some others assertions that free speech was an american value, when in fact it is an acknowledged right internationally.
No its not, but I am allowed to state an opinion....at least for now.
