Report: Pedophilia more common among 'gays'

Umm pedophiles are neither straight nor gay. Pedophilia is in it's own catogory of sexuality. Also most pedophiles will id to people as straight.

Yes.

Most pedophiles are actually specifically attracted to neither boys nor girls. They may have a preference for boys or girls, but are actually sexually attracted to both.

If they have adult sexual partners, they are likely to be of the opposite sex. I suppose in some cases they are of the same sex, but probably a no higher percentage than the normal adults who are homosexual vs heterosexual.

Why do you disagree with homosexuality?

...Yes children will make their own decisions. But do you know how much harder it is for a child who realizes they are gay if they know their parents are against it. There is a reason the suicide rate is so high for gay teens.

Hit the wrong button to vote . I would allow my kids to be near gay people.

I find his statement pathetic. It's based on fear IMHO, as well as ignorance.

It's a bit frightening that close to 30% say no.

What these "Christians" fail to understand is that Christians are supposed to love the sinner, hate the sin. They should have no problems accepting the sinner (and NO I do not personally believe it is a "sin" or "evil"...I'm simply trying to point out how hypocritical they are).

As someone who took to free-thinking in college, but who was raised by non-denominational Protestants from a Presbyterian and Baptist background, I can tell you that disapproval with acceptance is the best concession you're going to get.

For those who interpret the Bible literally, agreeing/asserting that homosexuality is not a sin is considered an evil compromise of their faith. As long as they can equally understand that judging homosexuals via assault/ostracizing is just as insulting to their faith, I've learned to just offer cheers and move on. Ultimately, if they've got the good sense to not cast the proverbial stone, it's not worth it to fret over their paradigm.

Otherwise, I guarantee you it's just going to be a circular argument.

I wouldn't wish that rejection on my worst enemy (if I had one).

Genuine Christians will love their child no matter what, because they understand that, even without homosexuality, by their religious doctrine they would've been spawning a sinner no matter what. Love between parents and children is to be unconditional and respectful.

I'm still well aware that this does not resolve the underlying pain experienced by a child who will still feel like a blemish and parents who will still feel that their child is going to be condemned. In line with what I said before, though... this conflict is a part of many parent-child relationships even without homosexuality specifically. Until we can change history or play God and alter genetic/mental traits ourselves, this is just going to be a fact of life. Ultimately, thanks to beliefs and inclinations (be they innate or favored), nobody is spared this basic existential conflict. Am I all that my parents wanted and believed I should be? Is there any being after life and will we get to share it with those we love? Why does anything seem to exist? Why all this crazy perception stuff to boot???!!!: ok:

Solve that one for good and you'll have a lot more groups than just religious fundamentalists and homosexuals offering you gratitude.

I hope all in despair can see that life is too massive and amazing to lose all hope just because of a few peoples' paradigms, even if those people hold a lot of influence in your life.
