Exactly....this is not and should not be an indictment of all "Republicans."

I am an atheist and believe completely in evolution, but I don't want socialism, pacifism, class-ism or many of the "isms" supported by many Democrats.

I am also an atheist that believes in fiscal and personal responsibility - something that neither party is showing much of lately.

Still it can't be ignored that the GOP has ignored any republican/conservative that does not fit into the 'moral majority' box. That is a huge oversight on their part, and one I believe they are coming to regret.

I don't believe in creationism, but I also don't believe everything that is said about evolution either (big bang, etc). Fact is nobody knows for sure how we got here, I don't believe that crap on the Discovery Channel any more than I believe what the preacher says.

Maybe you should educate yourself before you make judgments. The big bang and evolution are totally separate and unrelated subjects. Evolution is biology. Big bang is cosmology.
