I am a strong supporter of marijuana decriminalization. As far as legalization, I'm not sure.

It is a no brainer to me. The war on drugs is a hideous joke.
It is a similar situation in New Jersey where sports betting is on the table to be legalized. It will generate piles of tax revenue and get rid of the illegal bookies who cause crime. Just as legalizing marijuana will get rid of street dealers and the crime they cause. Not to mention the tax revenues it can produce.

As I stated in another post, as much as I wish it were legal, I don't think it will happen due to the big-pharma / drug company lobbyist in Washington. Legalizing herb would do away with the need for a large amount of those CHEMICAL DRUGS THAT THEY ARE CONSTANTLY PUSHING DOWN OUR THROAT. Then there is the insurance industry angle, they would lose one of their biggest qualifiers / exclusions to get out of paying for any type of claim. Makes no sense that someone can drink a 12-pack every night of the week, get in an accident at work and insurance will pay. But if you smoke some herb over the weekend and get in to an accident you are screwed... Even if you smoked every night the next day side effects are nothing compared to alcohol...
