Default Oklahoma declares its sovereignty-TODAY

Oklahoma declares its sovereignty

http://www.newsok.com/house-bypasses...rticle/3366762

Quote:
Although Gov. Brad Henry vetoed similar legislation 10 days earlier, House members Monday again approved a resolution claiming Oklahoma's sovereignty.

Unlike House Joint Resolution 1003, House Concurrent Resolution 1028 does not need the governor's approval. The House passed the measure 73-22. It now goes to the Senate.

"We're going to get it done one way or the other," said the resolutions' author, Rep. Charles Key, R-Oklahoma City. "I think our governor is out of step."

Where's Utah??? We aren't even on the map in putting a thoroughly corrupt, Mafia-style government on notice?

Congress should not be providing bailouts to financial institutions and automakers, he said.

LMAO! Where were these people when Bush was bailing out the airlines? Where were they when daddy Bush was bailing out the S&Ls?

Meaningless gesture by sore losers. It does NOTHING but send a message how radical and anti-American Red Staters are.

Timothy McVeigh would be all over this...he'd have been your biggest supporter. ....Please don't take your rhetoric to the next level

Another poster who does not know the difference between a LOAN, and a buying of equity.

p.s. "daddy" Bush did not bail out the S&L's, that was FDIC insurance, funded by BANKS, not taxpayers..

I don't know how everyone is taking this, but I see it as a State stating that they believe in the 10th Amendment. There's nothing wrong with that on a legal basis.

No, there isn't. However, these matters are determined by the Supreme Court, not the Oklahoma legislature.

Do you know what a secured loan is?

You've got to be kidding.

Private sector contributions totalled $29.1 billion. Public sector: $123.8 billion.
