Simply pathetic. Sometimes, this feels like the worst political forum I've ever seen.
I'm not a Democrat btw.

It is interesting how people tend to lump to either black or white.
Example: I am for respecting the woman to choose what to do with her body. She wants to abort, it is her body even though I do not agree with abortion.
Gay lifestyle is disgusting to me but it is a matter of privacy and I do not believe the government or anybody else has the right to intere what two adults do behind closed doors.
I believe drugs should be legal because it is a matter of personal choice what to injest into your body for entertainment even though I have never taken any illegal drugs myself.
On the economic side I believe:
In low taxes.
if not eliminate at least reduce welfare programs that foster laziness
deregulation of the market
allow market forces to work themselves and that may mean outsoursing
progressive taxes are unfair
corporations should not be harshly treated because they make money
the government has not business in meddling in the private market
So on social issues I may labeled liberal but on economic issue a conservative because people like to do that.
I do not call myself either. I just believe what I believe. I do not label anybody anything. I just agree or disagree with the specific points at question. Labeling tend to close minds when people discuss issues. I often people replying something "You are just a liberal or conservative".
I am primarily concerned with economic issues than social issues. It is more important employment than trying to ban a couple of the same gender to call their union marriage. That is their privacy and the government has not business. Let the church call them what they want and the government what they want. In the end they end up in bed together anyways.
You have a great day.

We need a Moderate to run in 2012. This extreme right and left is alienating most of the country.
I'm pro-choice
I'm atheist, but religion doesn't freak me out.
I'm anti-gay "marriage." Not anti-gay. I'm am anti-agenda, aka having the lifestyle thrown in our face through media and Hollywood daily, making it appear like they are 50% of the population now. They want to create a term go for a union unique to themselves, go for it.
I want to keep my guns, my money and would like the federal government to stay out of my life and out of my children's education.
I'm for shutting down the border but making the citizenship process for legal immigrants more efficent.

Well, this conservative became more liberal (not far left, just center left) after reading my bible and realizing that Jesus wasn't a right wing neocon. Add to that the fact that Republican politicians are "christian values" hypocrites who use evangelicals to get votes and then forget us soon after, and I shifted left fairly soon after that.

I'm conservative for the most part but am all for personal liberties and responsibility. I don't like unnecessary laws or government intrusion. I've considered changing from Republican to Libertarian but haven't done so yet. I often vote Democratic because the can't identify or agree with the loud, blustering, red-in-the-face, pasty, heavy set white men in dark suits that control the Republican Party and insist something supernatural is "gunna get us" and try to scare everyone with bogus claims. I see the people with power taking advantage of simple minded citizens and playing to their fears. It disgusts me.

Pro-life is the one socially conservative stance I have. I'm Agnostic, but I still believe abortion is murder.
Religion doesn't freak me out, but I don't think it should have much of a role in politics or the law either.

I wouldn't be opposed to same-sex marriage and do support same-sex civil unions.

Yes. 100% agree. I don't own any guns, but I will vehemently defend the right of others to keep their guns as protected by the Second Amendment.
I want to keep as much of my money as possible.
As far as education, state governments should regulate it (I do support public schools), but the feds should not be involved.

Yup. Let's send all the illegals home NOW, not let them back, and not let others in either.
