One has to hope that the SCOTUS will follow previous rulings and uphold this law rather than repeal it. The election of President Obama and the vituperative response from those who never believed that America would or should elect a bi-racial president simply underscores the continued need for such laws.

I still do not understand the harm in keeping or getting rid of this law. It sounds like it is just there and nobody has really benefitted or lost anything because of it in the last few years.
