Why didn't Cheney eclassify under his watch?
He had his chance to "do the right thing" and chose not to.
They were the lest transparent of all administrations.

The previous administration was right not to declassify these memos/reports. They were reticent to give to the enemy any of our tactics, methods and operations in the war on terror.
Obama has no qualms about giving the enemy this information.
However, once obama released selective details from the memos (while having other details edited out, that just so happen to prove the effectiveness of the program), Cheney was right to call for the declassification to highlight just how much obama is playing politics with our security.
Your disinterest screams of willful ignorance of the facts. Obama clearly is making this into a political issue, instead of a matter of fact.
If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit! Too bad this glove fits very well, but Obama refuses to admit that Cheney is correct. How else could you explain turning down this request, if there is nothing to hide?
Maybe this source is just as accurate as the one that reported Keith Olbermann walked out of MSNBC because of a fight with Rachel Maddow over a guest when, in fact, his mother passed away.
What's interesting is that when Liberal Democrats refer to the Daily Kos, I see comments like "so you rely on the Daily Kossack for news?"
Now, we all know that with one wave of his magic marker, obama can declassify ANY document he wants to.
Of course, he's already played fast and loose with the contents of those memos. Below is the some of the stuff he had edited out. Now, why would they edit out details about the effectiveness of the program and just who in the democrat congress had been briefed.

A letter dated May 7, 2009, from the CIA’s Information and Privacy Coordinator, Delores M. Nelson, rejected Cheney’s request because the documents he has requested are involved in a Freedom of Information Act court battle.
So, it wasn't Obama who turned down the request. It was the CIA.
That's different from what your title says. Your bluff has been called.
