You can say what you want, but appointees serve at the pleasure of the President, and can be fired if he so chooses.

Did you forget that the Clintons fired many, many people, including judges, and also the entire travel office. Should the Clinton's be waterboarded?

Sure, it happens all the time when new administration assume office but the real problems lies with the firings were the subject of a lengthy report released last fall by the Justice Department's inspector general and the department's Office of Professional Responsibility. Investigators there uncovered improper political motivations in the firings of several of the nine dismissed federal prosecutors.

Clinton fired judges? What are you talking about? Presidents can't fire judges.

Rove has always been willing to talk to congress about this matter, informally and not under oath, but they declined the offer.

Since these attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president, who can hire and fire, at will, the congress really has no authority here.
