I agree with some Republican ideas but I have to say I am more liberal.

I just marked conservative because that is where I am.

It is fun watching people try to ease into being anything. I have my own ideas about most in this reply and sure don't see anyone who goes along with free choice and union supported choice crap, being able to claim any kind of conservative or centrist.

I am radically liberal except for the issues on which I am radically conservative on.

LIBERAL ON:
The First Amendment
Gay rights
Religion (keep it out of public affairs)
National Health Care
Government programs to help the people
Government regulation of the economy
Progressive taxation
Abortion rights
Pro union
Pro minimum wage

CONSERVATIVE ON
The Second Amendment (pro gun rights)
School choice (in the case of failing or dangerous public schools)
Crime (lock em up and throw the key away, not opposed to the death penalty when guilt is certain)

There's a "two-dimensional" test that's been floating around on the web for years. It would tell some people that they were "conservative" and at the same time "authoritarian" enough to force religion onto people... a direct contradiction.

Garbage in, garbage out.

BTW, what's the difference between "conservative" and "very conservative"? Sounds like the difference between "pregnant" and "very pregnant". IOW, no real difference.
"Conservative" means Rush and Hannity run you out of the Republican Party. "Very conservative" means you get to stay in the party!

Centrist, leaning right would mean you are generally moderate, but lean a bit more conservative than liberal. It may mean you take a balanced approach on the individual issues or that you have some conservative stances and some liberal stances.

The same applies with liberal, very liberal, and centrist, leaning left.
Thank, afoi. Sounds like the last two choice on the list should have been "Mostly conservative with a few liberal tendencies" and "Conservative with no liberal tendencies". Correct?

I'm on the fence, b/c I don't like either party, both of them are filled with corruption, greed, and extremists...

I am for the death penalty
for locking anyone up who harms a child and throw away the key, or any violation toward another human being
I am against government control of health care, banks, or anything else....whenever people become to lazy to get involved, that is when the wrong people take over.

I'm for innovation in technology of all things, i.e., better cars, appliances that last, etc. but I am against the government making laws telling them what they have to do. granted, all these years, they've been rackin in the money, on products that are cheap, gas guslers, etc...but I don't feel right about the government coming in and saying, ok, you have to do this...and yet, the government will do nothing to come down on our law breakers.

I am for freedom of speech and the press
I'm for the right to bear arms
the right to smoke
the right to make my own decissions

I believe in working for what you want and not giving handouts...yes, everyone needs help now and then, but I dispise anyone who lives on welfare, welfare breeds welfare. It's wrong to live off the tax payers.

I don't believe in abortion, but do believe a woman has the right to do what she wants with her own body, that decision is between her and her God and no one else's.

I believe in much stronger education
and that living in this country is a priviledge, which should require anyone here getting in legally, period.

I would like to see our military stronger, and certainly more manufacturing done right here in America. that is a shame, and outsourcing is proven to be cheaper, as well as quality.

I am not a socialist...nor believe in it...

consider myself more conservative now then at any other time in my life....and for obeying rules and laws, no one should be exempt.

Well, there is a difference. I am conservative. My husband is VERY conservative. I am "off the chart" conservative on some issues like abortion, but on some other issues, a little bit liberal. In fact, my husband calls me a "closet democrat!"

(Actually, I recently took some kind of "quiz" and it said I was centrist, leaning right....who knows?) I voted myself to be "conservative" in the poll.
