It is normal behaviour. If you don't like public education than home school your children.

I'm not gay, so I have no clue what it's like to be bullied as a child or harassed as an adult due to sexual orientation.

That said, I am an adult who was bullied relentlessly as a child in school due to a learning disability and a few other things. I understand the need for policies to prevent bullying in schools, including through teaching acceptance and tolerance.

Book used "The New Girl…and Me" by Jacqui Robbins. The book is about a new girl in a classroom with a pet iguana.

What part of this is offensive? What part of this has anything to do with sexuality?

This type of sensitivity training regarding homosexuality is no different than sensitivity training against bullying somebody with a learning disability.

This is not harmful to children at all! PPL just get all uptight because of their own inner hatred towards homosexuals - plain and simple.

Well, warped fand vile for you perhaps but not for a homosexual. See how that works?

Do you think five year old ponder about heterosexual sex (short of their having been abused)? They know most men love women and most women love men yet they don't ponder about heterosexual sex. Why would homosexual sex be different? Do you ponder about homosexual sex?

Default Keep the Gay Agenda Out of Public Schools

The public school is not a pulpit and should not cater to special interests.

We don't need to qualify bullying to include gay bashing, jew bashing or fattie bashing. All bullying is wrong and like I said, doesnt need a qualifier or a 45min lecture examining one small segment of those who are bullied.

There are many people in this country that are not into homosexuality. Just as much as gays want their feeling considered, the anti-gay people's feelings and views need to be respected too. And just because someone does not approve of homosexuality, it doesn't mean they hate it or that it leads to hate. An analogy: My mom is anti-pot but doesnt hate me or my friends because of it.

I would agree with you if the kids weren't bullying and targetting specific groups BUT they are! I don't think the curriculum is telling people to become fat or become homosexual - it is addressing a specific group that is the target of bullying, hatred and discrimination and saying it is not ok to target that group. Eliminating qualifiers is not targetted enough and doesn't deal with the problem. The qualifier puts a face to the name and makes it real.
