In its never-ending quest to eliminate the Confederate flag, the Miami-Dade branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has directed its attention towards NASCAR. According to a story published in the South Florida Times, the civil rights organization plans to approach NASCAR about banning the flags from city-sponsored events.
During an interview with “60 Minutes” in 2005, France explained that he is unable to tell fans not to fly the Confederate flag but that he would like to.
“These are massive facilities. And I can’t tell people what flag to fly,"
This is not to surprising, nascar was started by southern good ole boys in the backwoods running moonshine. It's fanbase are these guys offspring. The blacks can't stand the fact that these "good ole boys" have their own sport that has got this huge.I have been to talledaga and it was an awesome sight. There were more confederate flags than I could count. But I promise you this goal will be achieved because nascar does not want this image.Keep it flying
LOL - Let me get this straight. Black folks think they have the upper hand by boycotting an industry that may have a total of 5 black fans? I think I just pissed myself laughing so hard!
If the NAACP pisses off that crowd, they better be prepared for the backlash! And it won't be a silly boycott!
Idiots. I'd be embarrasssed to be represented by that bunch of clowns.

its amazing how you continue to provide your assumptions on Blacks. Assumptions that are completely wrong and in this case, Ignorant and Idiotic. I agree the NAACP could make better use of their time, but the issue their having with NASCAR miss know it all is due to the Confederate flag which is associated with slavery. But then again, so is the history of America and every former President from Washington to Lincoln. We've made great strides in America, if NASCAR or the South do not see the need to get rid of these labels, then so be it.
