Gambling can, in fact, promote other crimes. It's something I go back and forth on.
I'd vote yes if the law had provisions to dissuade the other problems that gambling can create.

Yes, because gambling, like prostitution, marijuana, and previously alcohol when illegal creates a whole underground criminal culture, that profits off of fulfilling the public's demand for that vice. When legalized this underground criminal culture is marginalized because most buyers will not risk interacting with such a questionable element when a safer, legal, and often cheaper product is available at a public market.
Also these vices can be used to generate revenue for the government as is the case with gambling and prostitution in Nevada and liquor taxes across the rest of the states.
Finally gambling is already legalized most everywhere, it is just currently limited to a few activities and is held in trust as a state monopoly, i.e. the lotto, or in many states is legal only if their is no acting house. The real question should be should private individuals be able to open gambling establishments and I say yes.

A lot of states are in budget trouble. Regulated gambling can help out there.
If people want to gamble their home away, aint my problem.
