The laws are being ignored and misapplied, the foundation (the Constitution)
is considered a "living document" that needs to "change with the times and situations." Faith in our system of government? After what we've seen Obama do to the country in the first 100 days? You must be kidding.
But, that aside...
There are intelligent, well respected people who say that Obama is not a Marxist. Thomas Sowell says Obama is a fascist. So, that means we are marching toward Fascism. Do you like that better?
Pick your poison, and carry on.
Well what other people say is fine and they are certainly entitled to their opinions. I don't see Obama as a Marxist or a Fascist, I see Obama as attempting to be everything to everybody and that just isn't going to happen.
I his attempt to be a little something to everyone, I believe he will not take any great politically philosophical stance on any issue but instead work towards the middle, which in many respects is not bad. Yet at the same time, those many masses in the middle scream for things like immigration reform, health care, and increased development in domestic infrastructure will have be ignored in order to pander to "all" the people, even those from the frothing extreme.
I happen to think Obama is a masterful politician but I am of yet convinced he is a statesman that is committed to a given set of goals, as neither right nor left really have a clue where the hell this man is going. I am not worried about him being fascist, I'm not worried about him be Marxist or Muslim or anything, I am only worried that he is going to attempt to be everything to everyone and that just isn't possible and in the end makes one ineffectual at one major point.
If you ask me the right should be pleased that while this guy has his issues he isn't Dennis Kucinich or John Edwards, because THAT is a real liberal.

You are older than I thought. What would I get for googling that little quip? You might as well tell me so I won't have to waste my time.
So you think that pounding on the podium to enunciate his words was just theatrics? I think that back then he really believed that and that we would do the burying for them.

Well now I googled "They didn't have a chance" and I coudn't believe what I got. A page of absolute garbage is what.
Russian Media Calls Us Sheeple: American Descent Into Marxism
Pravda (2 page article) says American capitalism is gone with a whimper. Says Putin warned Obama not to go down the road to Marxism because it only leads to disaster.

To use Putin as someone that worries about Marxism is laughable. The man wants nothing more than to return to the Soviet days, with himself in charge, of-course. Listening to what some ex-KGB agent says when it comes to our nation is doing nothing more than playing into his hands. FYI, capitalism seems very much alive to me, yes, we have gone too far when it comes socialist practices, the bailout being a prime example, but I would remind everyone that those practices where not begun by Obama, nor are the Democrats the only ones to blame. Don't like the way the government is acting, vote em out at election time, otherwise be get exactly the government we deserve.

Russia will take advantage of convenient partners by playing on those countrys' goals (Iran, for example). I would not be surprised to see them both, together, become a growing threat to Israel. Strange bedfellows, I know.
As for Pravda needing to put Palin on the cover - that wouldn't do anything for them. Those who want Palin's photos published on tabloids want it for the purpose of ridicule.
The press there is running photos of a shirtless Putin (gag), bringing in the same kind of sighs as a sihrtless Obama would get here from the masses. In neither instance would they be designed to ridicule but to garner popularity. Different motives entirely.
