U.N. report: Nature best controls climate gases - USATODAY.com

Quote:
Nature's way is best for controlling the gases responsible for climate change, the U.N. Environment Program said in a report Friday.
I wonder how long they studied this to make that determination. How many millions did they spend to come to a conclusion that any thinking, reasoning, logical person would inherently know?

The UN; A completely useless entity.

I hear they are working on a study to find out which direction the sun rises. I can't wait.

Sounds like good science must have just beat the crap out of bad science.

I hope Gore's Nobel Peace Prize is revoked.

When you consider that nature has such tremendous natural forces like earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, sandstorms, tsunamis, floods, forest fires, etc., that humans can do very little to absolutely nothing to prevent, the idea that we can substantially change the weather patterns of the planet for any significant period of time by driving cars and using the "wrong" kind of light bulbs is absolutely ridiculous.

I saw one part of that article that I just can't accept. Farmers out here in western Kansas don't have enough of the fertilizer they want used to take care of all their land. Painful but very true.

Agriculture has the largest potential for storing carbon if farmers use better techniques, such as avoiding turning over the soil and using natural compost and manure rather than chemical fertilizers, it said

We have lots of huge feed lots and some farmers keep some cattle but nothing like what would be needed to take care of their ground. They have largely stopped turning the soil and using "no till" but that involves spraying weed killers on their ground to keep the weeds off. I just don't think that lots of people really know what is going on with farming.
