Also, in an article I can't find online in the same paper, it says that Roeder was at the church several times before the murder. Perhaps he was stalking the dr, looking for the schedule of when he would be ushering?
I remember reading the same article about Roeder having been at the church several times, as well as having made posts about protests at the church and thanking people for praying for their success. I also read that authorities found a piece of paper in Roeder's possession which contained the personal phone number of Randall Terry.

As for the doctor in Boulder, he has been threatened for years and years. I lived in Boulder at one time, and I remember reading articles about that doctor receiving threats and he had to have private and public protection. However, he made a very clear statement that he would not be forced to stop helping women by these extremists like the violent anti-choice contingent. Fortunately Boulder is not a hotbed of religious fanatics and right-wing violent extremists! Some people in Denver even call Boulder "The People's Republic of Boulder".............loved living there.

another person quoting the bible out of context, pretty far out of context if you ask me. The bible quote that was posted took place when the Jews had threatened to stone Jesus for saying that he was the son of God, that he was God in mortal form.
"again the Jews picked up rocks to throw at him. Jesus said, "I have made a present to you From the Father of a great many good actions. For which of these acts do you stone me?" The Jews said, "We're not stoning you for anything good you did, but for what you said - this blasphemy of calling yourself God." Jesus said, "I'm only quoting your inspired Scriptures, where God said,..." John 10:31-34 The bible where I pulled and read all scripture around is the Message translation. I can go through the NIV or King James versions as well if the OP of this quote would like, I have many versions at my disposal.

Roeder is a coward. Dr. Tiller was definitely no hero either.

Mods... forgive the off topic.

He (Jesus) was quoting Psalms 82 noting that you wish to stone me because i said i am the Son, not realizing that they are called gods to whom the word of god comes.

Your NIV is useless.

Your NIV is useless.
The gods of Psalm 82 are nothing more than men who, by God's sovereign design, are chosen to rule over other men. In fact, the word "Elohim," used in verse six, is often translated "judges" in the Old Testament. An example of this can be found in Exodus 21:6 where it reads, "Then his master shall bring him unto the judges [Elohim] ..." Another example is Exodus 22:8 which reads, "If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges ..." Again, the Hebrew Elohim is used.

By saying the NIV is useless are you saying the Holy Bible is useless? It is but one of thousands of translations of the holy Bible, would you rather me Quote you from my Korean bible? How about my Russian Translation? I can do the King James thing if you would like, or even the NCV, NLT, hell even the Finnish bible. IT IS THE WORD OF GOD, no matter the minor differences in minor words.

I really hate it when people pull one or two sentences out of the bible to attempt to prove a point, what really girts me is when it is out of context. No matter why our religion has a bad name, when it is twisted to fit the adenda of a mere human which is flawed. I guess I could use a very well known quote from the bible that shows the true loving God.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." John 8:7

Here is the full story from John 8:1-11

1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin.

This evil man, who killed another evil man is not the work of God, it is one person with hate for another.
As I had said in my first post. You do not murder to prevent murder. There are other ways.

>>>> Dr. Tiller was an activist too and not a hero. I'm not condeming all activists, we're just looking at two examples where they don't come close to being heroes. Dr. Kervorkian would be another example.
On the flip side, Martin Luther King and Ghandi would be two that were heroes. But they rose far above 99% of other activists, many of which are self serving.

Christ was murdered, and it prevented the spiritual death of billions.
