Single Payer is the way to go... Though I read earlier this morning whereas Sen. Kennedy has a draft that he has in circulation where the employer will be forced to provide coverage if not will be fined/penalized. For the poor, health care will be funded/provided with the use of subsidies if I read that article right?

Yeah..that forced health benefits will do great wonders for employment.

It almost seems as if the government WANTS employers to offshore their work as much as they can.

No, what they want is for employers to go out of business which thank make individuals dependant on the government for survival.

I agree. Making the employers pay for health insurance is not the answer. It makes our business less competitive. The answer is single payer national health care paid by tax dollars. It would relieve the burden from business and create jobs. Obam get off your butt and get this done.

Why are so many people so quick to view single-payer as "the answer"? Several countries with UHC don't have single-payer but some version of multi-payer such as France,Germany and Switzerland.

I have no big problems with folks who view health care as a right. Just make sure you implement a health care approach that avoids long waiting list, deficit problems, doesn't cause people to over consume services and can be sustained over a long term regardless of demographic changes.
