I'm confused as to what you post of general gripes has to do with the topic of this thread. It's off topic.
But, to respond, you have legitimate gripes but just keep in mind that the unemployment rate hit its high water mark 2 years into Reagan's presidency before his policies were able to get things balanced. Obama's done quite a bit and early indications are that he will have a similar effect (dealing with a problem of rampant conservatism rather than rampant liberalism, as Reagan dealt): the dow is rebounding, the markets are starting to turn around.... He's committed to paying down the deficit before the end of the term.
I think you might be a victim of the culture of instant gratification that afflicts America. Took a long time to dig this hole he adopted.
yes, he certainly has done a lot although i can't agree with anything he has done. the most important thing for americans is the job situation and the economy, so the rest of this is all just subterfuge. i can assure you that it is not good news for either the dollar or the markets with russia's decision today to dump treasuries. we will be paying more for goods and our dollar will depreciate. the hole that was dug has been made deeper and americans will pay more for gas, groceries, and utilities.
i think people forget that he was part of the senate before he was president and congress is where the laws are actually made. this did not all happen off of his watch and i am tired of hearing him deny any responsibility for anything......
Thanks to everyone for participating. Every one of the statements in the poll about Obama is basically a myth or a stretching of the truth. This means that about half of the posters have fallen for right-wing propaganda or simply don't know what they're talking about.
The only statement that's debatable in my mind is the one about Obama being a socialist. It really depends on your definition of socialist. But considering that Social Security and Medicare are socialist programs, I would argue that George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and Richard Nixon were all socialists too because they supported those programs.

Well, at least he's behind bars and was only able to kill one security guard. Could have been a lot worse, huh?
