G No P has decided that they can't have a 48 day confirmation hearing for Sotomayer because she has too many cases to review!

"I've been informed that there have been some 4,000 decisions," Hatch said. "My gosh, that is going to take some time to go through those decisions."

Orin Hatch. http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_12554573

Its a ***** being overqualified.

I know it makes no sense, maybe Rachel Maddow can make sense out of it all.

This the same Rachel Maddow whose response to an Obama speech was, "Dude!, No Way,...Dude, come again?" Here's the video. Go to 6:15 minute mark for the start of her response to Obama's Cairo speech.

Considering the Dems have a leader who pushes through massive spending bills without time to read them, I could understand how this whole idea of review flies right over their heads.

Well after spending time on this forum I can appreciate the problems that Republicans have with reading.

Never the less, before Republicans discovered that Sotomayor was both a woman and a Puerto Ricania, way back in 1998 (when she probably had only 3000 cases to review) the same Republicans kicking up a fight this time thought she was more than fine to appointed to the Federal Court of Appeals way back in 1998.

I guess this will add some more to the converstion on the Hill about Judge Sotomayor.

"The clips include lengthy remarks about her experiences as an “affirmative action baby” whose lower test scores were overlooked by admissions committees at Princeton University and Yale Law School because, she said, she is Hispanic and had grown up in poor circumstances. "

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - Martinez predicts Sotomayor will be confirmed « - Blogs from CNN.com

"Martinez, the only Hispanic Republican in the Senate, said he is not concerned about Sotomayor's controversial "wise Latina" comments because he said there is no evidence that sentiment has influenced her judicial decisions.

For someone who is of Latin background, personally, I understand what she is trying to say. Which is, the richness of her experience forms who she is. It forms who I am," Martinez said."

Martinez is another one that looks out for the best interest of Mexico over America.

Considering positions on the Supreme Court are for life I think anyone being considered should be checked and rechecked, every aspect of their life.

Really? Why can't a Republican minority disagree with the (stale) majority without being called some sort of racist or in this case unpatriotic. He outlined his stance as did Colin Powell but you wolves seem to salavate at the chance to jump minorities even in your own party.
