It's only "trouble" if you think it's trouble. I think that every state should at least offer civil unions/domestic partnerships.

I don't think I'd go that far. I see a difference between rejecting relationships and rejecting individuals.

We think your relationships are worthless.
Here in Arkansas, if a law could be passed making homosexuality a capital crime, it would pass overwhelmingly. Gay people are not tolerated around here and pretty much stay in the closet.

Yeah, I was thinking it would be interesting if every state voted on whether or not homosexuality should be legal or not. I was shocked to see recently that according to a recent Gallup poll, 40% of Americans believe homosexuality should be illegal.

Majority of Americans Continue to Oppose Gay Marriage (scroll down about 2/3 of the page to see the graph)

I see what you are saying, but, I disagree. I believe that the rejection of same-sex relationships in the majority of, if not all, cases, is based, at least in some part, on the rejection of homosexuality itself. By rejecting same-sex relationships, which are obviously a natural part of an LGBT's life, you are rejecting the homosexual individual and their rights to equality.

I realize that we are on the same side of the issue so we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
