Well for one this is not a lie but its very misleading. When Obama mentioned the fact that we were flying over villages in Iraq and killing civilians he happened to forget that Mccain made the same comments about Kosovo. He called Obama anti american for that but Mccain I guess was ok for making the same exact comments.
Fox waves the "Fair and Balanced" banner, but it seems the individual shows have their own flavor. I watch Hannity from time to time. I'll have to keep an ear out for this "fair and balanced" pitch that you speak of. I don't recall him proclaiming to be 50/50 conservative/liberal on any occasion. Perhaps some of his guests are 50/50, but I've never considered Hannity to be a half-breed conservative.
You are missing the point. Fox brings on an equal number of liberal and conservatives. No one is supposed to be 50/50, but rather the total sum of liberal guest to conservative is supposed to be somewhere near 50/50. They are definitely not in the middle as they have a lot more conservative opinion time than they do liberal time, but they do offer a blend of views much closer to 50/50 than any other channel.
