Yeah, what we need is another 10 or so useless vitriolic threads about Bush and Cheney. How about more fantasies about "war crimes?" Maybe another "let's soak the rich" thread would be nice?
This thread is a fantasy thread. "What if?"

(Neither was Britain, for that matter, until they jumped in between Germany and Poland.)

Yes, and Germany's stated reason for doing so was our repeated attacks on their ships. If you forget who you are talking about and replace "Germany" and "America" with "Country A" and "Country B"--and then look objectively at the facts--the Germans certainly had a lot more legitimate grievances against us than we ever had against Iraq.

As for Japan, our role in provoking Pearl Harbor is too well known to bother recapitulating: just google "McCollum memo."

Wow, what a selective memory you have. We were attacking their ships to defend our supply ships that were being sunk by the Germans. Next case.

Just wait. That is all I can say. Kim Jung is gonna push the wrong button pretty soon and Obama will unleash Hell on him. Of course it would be easier of GW Bush did not have 120,000 people in Iraq- which was a far less threat to world peace than this piece of excerment in Korea. You people talk like Obama is weak. He is not "weak". He is "diplomatic". He wants to make sure we have plenty of allies when and if the time comes to kick Kim Jung's ass. He is doing the right thing in my view.

When Hitler attacked the UK and the Japs attacked US, it became our problem. The UK and USA are almost one in the same. That is where our country orginated from as far as white settlement. We have bonds with the UK that will never break and we will always be there with them in their time of need.

In reality, back in 1944, Obama wouldn't even be president because he was black. If he was president in 1944, Hilter and his Nazi army would launch an attack and try to assassinate him.

Do you ever get the feeling some of these posters need a history lesson or two?

Quite often - right now I'm getting the feeling that half of the people who posted here didn't bother to click on the link.

The cartoonist is a poor judge of character who knows little about diplomacy.

Who's "we"? Don't include my name on the enlistment letter, friend. I've got no friends in the UK that I'm in any hurry to get blown up for, and I'm puzzled why you think I owe them anything just because I'm white and so are they...

Hitler wouldn't have had to. The chicken-mounting scum of the old confederacy would've beaten him to it a thousand times over. You know, the people who are now the GOP base.
