Iranian elections don't matter because it is their religious leaders who actually rule the country and the elected president.

Saying it's hypocritical for us, the only country that nuked others, to try and decide who should and shouldn't have nukes is not advocating an arms race.

So you want a country run by racist anti-Semites to have access to nukes ?

Look at the protesters on the streets of tehran, that should give YOU some indication of how displeased the people of iran are.

Neo-con, is a derogatory term that refers to Jews. No one I have ever asked to explain it has ever done so. Any wonder? They don't want anyone to know of their hatred for a people (Jews).

This man was a leftist extremist, like you. Are you sure you want to continue to use that term?
Neoconservatism is a political philosophy that emerged in the United States of America, and which supports using American economic and military power to bring liberalism, democracy, and human rights to other countries.[1][2][3] Unlike traditional conservatives, neoconservatives are generally comfortable with a minimally-bureaucratic welfare state; and, while generally supportive of free markets, they are willing to interfere for overriding social purposes

I would say the events of recent days prove elections in Iran don't matter. Those in power will retain power by any means necessary.

What matters is what is happening after the election. This is very encouraging. Maybe there will be a big change in the government. The world is watching.

So, it is now proven. The right-wing republicans WOULD
rather America fail than have President Obama succeed.
We knew it, but now it's proven. Neo-cons are anti-America...

Its been proven because a extreme-lefty blog said it?

Count on that, there is BIG change in the wind when it comes to Iran, the People of any nation can only be pushed so far. Seems the current religous and political leaders forgot that it was the People that got them there and that the People can bring them down. Those that do not learn from the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.

People have been predicting an Iranian revolution against the theocratic government since November 1979. Thirty years later the same mantra is being espoused without any consideration for the thirty years of failed predictions that occurred prior.

Ever hear of the story of the boy who cried wolf? Or perhaps the adage "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me?" Both have to do with the complete lack of credibility. Anyone who predicts an Iranian revolution clearly is ignorant of Iran's recent 30-year history and has absolutely no credibility whatsoever.

Their elections are about as important as North Korea's. Pretty disheartening to the people who want democracy to prevail. The supreme ayatollah Ali Khamenei has no intentions of going anywhere and apparently if you were a dissenting party you'll be arrested after the "fair" elections. Now is the right time to agitate the dissent and throw their government into a loop. It may be the only thing we can do to postpone this back and forth Iran North Korea thing and get back into some control. As it is both are working together and laughing all the way to the war or wars whichever...
