The big question is, will we ever see images like this from Iran again?
What's going to happen tomorrow, that's what I want to know. When the votes are counted, and the announcement is made, will there be riots in the street? Or crackdowns? Will green paint and gree t-shirts be made illegal? No matter who is declared the winner, I hope it will a calm, peaceful day. But I have a feeling it's going to be tense.
Election results are being contested (no surprise there).
So - will their be violence in Iran if the status quo is kept in place even though the opposition feels that they election was rigged? Could it spur a "peoples' revolution"?

I don't know. You know those in power are not going to give it up easily, but I was happy to see these pictures. It shows despite what a lot of people say on CD that there are people in the middle east that want peace. For whatever reason all we see is the madmen.
Just think of it. If people around the world thought that George Bush was representative of the average american, because that is the only person they ever see in the news.

I hope that they can enact this change peacefully. Unfortunately, those with absolute power tend to want to keep it.....
Thanks for the info. I will give it a read. The Ayatollah does have all the power in Iran no doubt about it. History has shown that for a leader to hold on to power in the face of growing opposition he must either make some concessions or come down hard on the opposion to keep that power. Lets hope it is the former.
Every day I watch the news about the elections in Iran....There are four candidates in the elections.............I think that Ahmady Nigad can't win this time.......There are three candidates in the elections too.......but I don't have enough information about them yet.
The results will make surely good changes in the middle east.
Who really gives a ****? They voted four years ago, and four years before that, and four years before that. They elected a real goober last time. Maybe they just did it again. Most of the people we elect here are pus bags, for that matter. Why democracy, in the sense of elections and "majority rule", gives people such a flutter has always beat me. The majority are usually cretins.
