Do we include the Constitution in the old and failed ways? Limited government is what the founding father's had in mind when we separated from the British. Every time government expands our rights are trampled on. During the Bush years (why didn't he use veto pen more often?) government expanded. Now under Obama government is taking over businesses and over-reaching into people's private lives.

With the speed they haver worked his first 6 months I am not sure we will recognize this place at the end of his first term. He has us over a barrel though because to impeach him would leave us with Biden as number one and Pelosi right behind him. I guess we will just have to try to live through that 3 1/2 more years and hope some vestige is left.

We do have one possibility and that is to gain control of one or the other of the houses of Congress in 2010. We should all be looking to doing that and with the speed they have moved I think either they slow down or blow themselves out of that control they are enjoying.

I have to agree with your talking about the Constitution, or whatever is left of it when the next 3 1/2 years are over. Also, you are very right about what socialism looks like and Brown has made some wondrous changes since getting control there. Australia is another good example and it took them about a year longer to get where Obama has us in just 6 months.

Gee, I always thought the right lived in an upside-down universe where getting a BJ and lying about it is a capital offense while selling weapons to an enemy and forgetting about it is cause for deification

By the next few years I hope you mean 3 1/2 to be exact. We may survive 2 terms of Hussein but this country will never get back to where we once were.

How simple must people who just can't get it straight what Clinton was impeached for doing? I am hoping that someday you figure out just how wrong that post was but don't really think it will happen after nearly 10 years.

ElOrocks talked about the other part of your wrong headed post so I don't need to.

I don't think you recognize what has happened the past 6 months, at all.

I wasn't going to post this, but I am still shaking my head at what I read in the newspaper today. Our local school has a mascot that is under attack because it offends the black students there. (I had two children graduate from the school and had never heard this before.) The NAACP is asking the school to change their mascot that has been the mascot since the school opened. Another school in our area has already bowed to these ignorant people. This mascot is a part of the area's history, the Parkwood Rebels. (When my children were in school the band uniforms were beautiful and distinctive. I could pick our band out anywhere.) There should not be anything offensive to the black population because if I remember correctly both black and white regiments fought for the South in the Civil War, so it is not racial, just historical. I think it is awful to ask those students to dishonor their ancestors by changing the mascot. They will probably get it done, but it will not profit them at all, because it is wrong to ask the students to do this. I guess we are now trying to rewrite history. Traditionally the students and no one else has always chosen the mascot. This is not good enough for the bully racist organization, the NAACP. They want to force their will on the school.

The real pity here is that all the native students get along with each other and work together. I would hate to see this change. The NAACP needs to stop trying to start trouble where there is none. The reason I say native is that my children were not native to this area and it is a little hard to be accepted as a transplant, but the students who were born here could not be more bonded to each other. I don't think anyone thinks about race. So sad.
