Big time lawsuit in this case!!!!
Homeowner Says Crews Demolished Wrong House - News Story - WSB Atlanta
Georgia man comes home to find his house torn down, crushed, and loaded in dumpsters by a contractor who did not have an address, only a GPS location. They demolished the wrong home! They demolished this man's home. It was the home his father built, where he grew up, and contained family heirlooms that are forever gone. I wish this story named the construction company but they didn't.

Wrong house demolished, heirlooms lost in Carroll | ajc.com
Byrd said a representative of North Georgia Container told him the company was hired by another company, Southern Environmental Services, to raze the home. And that company was hired by Fore Star Property, according to the sheriff’s department report.
None of the three companies responded to messages left Thursday afternoon.

North Georgia Container still has their website up and running but Southern Environmental Services took down their website. I wonder why?

What a nightmare! The fingers will be pointing everywhere and nowhere. The poor guy could be in court for years and god help him if the primary culprit declares bankruptcy.

Nah, everyone involved has insurance and it will be quickly settled out of court and the guy will receive far more than the house was worth.

From The "Are People Really This STUPID?" Department
OK, you and a crew are dispatched to demolish a house. You use a GPS device to arrive at the home to be torn down. Don't you think it might be a good idea to maybe check the house number before you run a bulldozer through the place?

That's why the titles should at least hint at the topic - that way you know when someone else has posted the same story. Either way this has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read in my life. I mean did the house look like it was marked for demolition or did it look like someone was currently living in it? I'm wondering if they even went to the door to see if anyone was inside before knocking it down.

Sorry. Didn't see the other post. Was sitting here and channel 2 talked about the story again.
