Source for that? One thing that is often pointed out that the "consensus" is by groups not individuals. The science community is just as political as any other group of people and to think otherwise is being naive. You're going to have people there as you would anywhere with their own agendas and biases.

Here's interesting article I came across a while back, you be the judge:

The EPA vs. Ed Krug (http://www.sepp.org/Archive/controv/controversies/epavskrug.html - broken link)

Storms of that magnitude have been hitting that area since they have been recorded. Camille probably being the most recent one.

Hurricane Camille - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hurricane Camille was the third and strongest tropical cyclone and second hurricane during the 1969 Atlantic hurricane season. The second of three catastrophic-level Category 5 hurricanes to make landfall in the United States during the 20th century, which it did near the mouth of the Mississippi River on the night of August 17, Camille was the only Atlantic hurricane to exhibit officially recorded sustained wind speeds of at least 190 miles per hour (310 km/h) until Allen equalled that number in 1980, and the only Atlantic hurricane in recorded history to make landfall at or above such intensity.
The difference between it and Katrina other than being more powerful is you have a lot more developed area to be destroyed, more people living there and instant media to report what is going on inevitably senstionalizing it.

It's all about money and money for grants. Since people are waking up to the scam they did the "liberal" word game and changed the name hoping they can ride that one for awhile. The people are waking up and catching on!
