What you refuse to acknowledge is that we are headed for a very bad time if we don't moderate our behavior.
I don't hug trees. I'm an engineer that solves problems. One of those efforts involves planting trees however.

Still ignoring my posts in this thread? I wonder why... hmmm oh that is right, you need an organization that you deem credible. Which is another way of saying you only want to use your sources.

Good luck with that one, he has ignored any attempt in two threads to discuss the actual science and is obtuse with any concepts that involves science. All you will get from him is political bantering and self proclaimed validity.

Let's start with your statement that temperature has only increased by 0.2 degrees F. Let's have the scientific basis for that.
Here's the satellite data for the past 30 years and it's way higher than you claim. Let's not quote stupid stuff like NOAA land measurements.

Sure it is, but context is your friend. By chance do you know how much our contribution is when we compare it to all of the other factors that contribute? It really puts things into perspective.

yes we are only a small part. but whether we are a large part or a small part we are having an effect and that effect is alarming.

Yep , that appears to be a active mining. You'd find similar pictures where they mined for any minerals such as those used for cement, quarries for the roads we build, metal ores or even the diamonds on your GF's finger. It's a fact of life,we extract things from the earth to make our lives better.
Having said that as I already mentioned previously not only is it required that money be set aside to reclaim that area they are also taxed which goes to reclamation of abandoned mines that were created long before any regulations where the responsible parties are long gone. In that regards new minig is actually beneficial to the environment.
