A whole lot of money was made by enslaving these people, and if reparations to their ancestors is in order I believe it should be looked in to by the US Congress. WE profited off black Americans for almost 200 years and they ultimately suffered for it for generation after generation even after slavery ended.

Perhaps it is time to pay the piper.
So what about those whose fathers DIDN'T even come to this country till WELL after the fact? What about those who had NO PART in it, and fought against it? What about those who's families were enslaved and treated like crap as well?

If we are paying reparations to the blacks, then we had better pay the Native Americans, and the Chinese as well.

It wasn't only blacks that were slaves back then.

How many times does our government need to apologize though?

I remember Clinton doing the very same thing when he was in office.

Black Activists Call Senate Slavery Apology "Useless"; Say It Will Empower the Call for Reparations

Project 21 Members Say Lawmakers Should "Move On"

Washington, D.C. - The U.S. Senate resolution apologizing for slavery and segregation will be used as a lobbying tool to acquire reparations payments, say members of the black leadership network Project 21. The group urges the Senate to "move on," saying the apology will do little to heal perceived racial gaps.
The Black community is seeing right through the transparency of Congress, obviously. There are more pertinent challenges for Congress than just to continue the white guilt trip.

What do you all think?
NO THANKS, how about apologizing for starting all those riots, and burning down black businesses and neighborhoods, housing discrimination, and police brutality. how about an apology from those bold white guys who punched countless blacks while they marched and blacks didnt attack back

blacks were the enemy of americans, no other racial group had an illigitimate reason towards them for slavery. blacks were seen as unhuman, animals. the church okay slave trade, blacks were inferior...

Psychiatric "treatment" of African Americans has included some of the most barbaric experiments ever carried out in the name of "scientific" research — and not very long ago. In the 1950s in New Orleans, black prisoners were used for psychosurgery experiments which involved electrodes being implanted into the brain. The experiments were conducted by psychiatrist Dr. Robert Heath from Tulane University and an Australian psychiatrist, Dr. Harry Bailey, who boasted in a lecture to nurses 20 years later that the two psychiatrists had used blacks because it was "cheaper to use ******s than cats because they were everywhere and cheap experimental animals
