Depends on your medical history... might go a long way, might not

I'd like to know where one can get a standard individual health insurance policy for even double that amount (in other words $600/mo)! Certainly not in any of the Northeastern states which is where I live. I haven't seen anything less than $1000/mo in the past few years. $600/mo is more like a group rate, not private....
I have Dish Network and have been paying about $54/mo until just recently, when I upgraded from the Top 180 to the Top 250 for an additional $10; so now my bill is $64. I don't have any of the 'premium movie channels' because IMHO there is nothing on any of those worth paying for.

I'm for universal health care, but only if there are some serious constraints. I don't like the idea of socialized medicine, but it seems people are arguing extremes, in this thread. Well, at least one side is arguing an extreme. Our system has some serious problems and neither pure socialism or capitalism will solve them.

Yeah that.

(CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP)
There are other countries it's failing in as well. That aside, someone mentioned earlier that just because someone's leeching the system that doesn't mean they're not worthy of medical care. I say double HAH! I started from scratch penniless. I crawled & dragged myself up. I avoided making stupid decisions. I also never bypassed a Help Wanted sign with a plethora of excuses as to why I couldn't work 'there'. I didn't recieve food stamps only to stand in line buying smokes, cocoa puffs & candy while my kid wore Goodwill flip flops in December. After living for 8 years now in a part of the country that thrives on assistance I am completely disgusted. I see a MAJORITY of people fully capable of working & they don't. So no, I don't want them to recieve recieve recieve! It's ridiculous. And my taxes are taken out so they can lazily suck it up. And if the Liberals have their way I'll give them more. ENOUGH!

If I don't make much more than you, then I probably can't afford it either. Of course I would need to make far more than you. It's common sense.
I would say less young and idealistic, and more logical and compassionate.

i joyously give to charity, through my church and through Non profit organizations. I dont believe the government is the way we should provide health services or educational services but rather the community, the people themselves

See, now I don't donate to churches. I've seen far too many preachers driving luxury cars.
