The president refused to make such a pledge, though he allowed that if "it's my family member, if it's my wife, if it's my children, if it's my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.

The "Got Talent" lead-in helped NBC's new drama "The Philanthropist," 4.8/8, get off to a decent start at 10, winning the hour in viewers and adults 18-49 despite a slightly higher household number for "CSI: NY," 4.9/8, on CBS. An ABC News special with President Obama drew a 3.1/6.

The one-hour ABC News special "Primetime: Questions for the President: Prescription for America" (4.7 million viewers, 1.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) had the fewest viewers in the 10 p.m. hour. The special tied some 8 p.m. comedy repeats as the lowest-rated program on a major broadcast network.

Obama was not asked whether a public plan would be allowed to fail. He was not asked about the Senate bill that would allow a public plan to avoid state regulation. He was not asked about the Lewin Group estimate that as many as 119 million people could be dumped from their current coverage into to the public plan until the Nightline segment, which was likely watched by far fewer people.

Jane Sturm told the story of her nearly 100-year-old mother, who was originally denied a pacemaker because of her age. She eventually got one, but only after seeking out another doctor.

I don't disagree with your assertion on health care reform.

The president along with the congress will never have to worry about this because they already have the best care for life. Plus most of them are wealthy enough to get the best care if needed.

I bet congress won't opt out of their health care plan and join the public option plan that Obama is trying to pass.

Again, why do you go to bat for this administration so frequently? You CAN vote fore Obama and actually disagree with some of his policies you know? Do you, by chance, know anything about this HCR that you're so obviously for? You realize that when it passes, you're likely to see your paycheck decrease with increased taxes, correct? You do understand that, as this administrations spends, you will get nickeled and dimed to death in the name of reform, correct?

I'm all for my taxes being raised if it means that my family can actually afford to get healthcare. The way I see it, the plan Obama is proposing is better than the plan my wife and I are currently on.

There's only so much that aspirin can do.
