Damn, I get pissed everytime I see a few hundred withheld from my paycheck, what is your secret?
That's just the tax from my business, I paid each check w/ my regular job as well. Taxes are taxes. Congressional picnics are held each year regardless of my taxes.
Bush did "Rodeo on the South Lawn". This is nothing new.
I wonder who is footing the bill for this one? He is flying in Alan Wong to prepare food for 2,500. They will have hula dancers, knife throwers,etc. Occasion? Who knows? I'd say it is because he wants to pamper all the Congress so they will sign onto his healthcare and his immigration programs.
I really, really find it interesting that he is pushing his whole "Hawaiian" thing when he only lived there on and off for 10 yrs. He is 47 so that means he lived elsewhere for 37 yrs.
I'm betting he will be calling Hawaii his home when it comes to vacation time. That way we can foot the bill for those trips.

LOL obama is akamai. you can't have a good luau without a fire dancer or a great hula halau. obama spent his formative years here raised hanai with respect for the aina and the culture. why would he not be hawaiian at heart or have the aloha spirit? why shouldn't hawaii be his vacation place. the tax payer will pay for his trips just as we paid for the crawford ranch trips and every other trip a pres takes. Unbelievable! Has Obama done ANYTHING other than go on dates, hold press conferences, and tell America not to panic? Now, he cant be bothered running the country, but he can hold a luau on the south lawn.
Isn't it an annual congressional luau? I think this happens every year regardless of economy
