Rep should be all over him, it is their job, it is what I PAY THEM TO DO.
Its called checks and balances within the system so NO ONE PERSON ( Meaning Obama ) has total control of everything.
Remember something, most of those rep congress members have experience in making decisions and Obama has ZERO decision making abilities for this circumstance. And it has shown.

What do you not GET about the FACT that the Iranians are THRILLED with Obama's response to this crisis? You think the Republicans in the U.S. Congress know better than the Iranian people about what is required from the U.S. to give them strength?

in this case, in direct opposition to what every Iranian expert says?
|
Isn't this a bit of an exaggeration?
You mean every, single solitary Iranian expert agrees with obama?
Did they agree with him before or after he made the outrageously "outraged and appalled" comments?

I know you weren't, but I couldn't figure out what the OP was driving at and your post pushed me in that direction.

While Ahmadinejad is clearly absurdly twisting Obama's words to serve his own political and repressive objectives, his statement can be viewed as actually justifiable. Not in terms of action or rhetoric coming from the administration, though, which has been broadly and in a bipartisan fashion praised by Iran experts, members of Congress from both parties, former Secretaries of State and National Security Advisers as well as conservative commentators, Peggy Noonan, Pat Buchanan, and George Will, but in terms of Congress, which remains for the most part largely myopic and oppositional to the administration in its approach to Iran. It's almost as if they are continually and proactively playing right into Ahmadinejad's hands:

Apparently this portion of Blickstein's article went overlooked as well. Obama has handled this more than wisely, and Hillary is keeping a low profile and working hard to help the Iranian protesters oust Ahmadinejad
without our overt help; 1953 is well-remembered in the Middle East. As to
comprehending that Obama has risen to the challenge, there are none so
blind as those who will not see.
