The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdock, successfully argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves. We are pushing for a consumer protection solution that labels news content according to its adherence to ethical journalism standards that have been codified by the Society of Professional Journalists (Ethics: spj.org).

Now there is an oxymoron: ethical journalism. Maybe once, but long gone now.

Yet nobody has a problem with MSNBC or any of the others telling lies.

Just a simple example. NBC's Today show had yesterday a medical specialist a medical examiner with a great reputation talking about michael jackson. he stated that since Michael Jacksons hair was long enough they could find out how long he had used certain drugs....

I was sitting in front of my tv in awe...I was shocked. How can some one with such a long study and being paid for his expertise be so stupid not to see that Michael jackson is wearing a wig or at least hair extensions...The interviewer didn't say anything to the medical expert....wow so much for spreading lies and thinking the public is stupid!

Btw this expert has been showed on other programs as a medical expert witness and was proven by others to be wrong and the side he was on lost the case....

That is because CeaseSpin.org is exclusively an anti-Fox liberal blog pretending to be for media reform. Which is ironic. They claim they do not like it when Fox misleads its viewers, while they mislead visitors to their web site by pretending to be for objective journalism.

I have a problem with ANY news organization lying.

You are in the mindset of finger pointing and "BUT THEY DID IT TOO". I am in the mindset of "IT IS ALL WRONG".
