"Prior to repeal, various conservative groups and individuals — including many conservative retired chaplains — warned that repeal would trigger an exodus of chaplains whose faiths consider homosexual activity to be sinful. In fact, there’s been no significant exodus — perhaps two or three departures of active-duty chaplains linked to the repeal. Moreover, chaplains or their civilian coordinators from a range of conservative faiths told The Associated Press they knew of virtually no serious problems thus far involving infringement of chaplains’ religious freedom or rights of conscience."
McCain/Palin wanted to keep the ban in place, and Romney said he would have kept it in place as well.
Romney has always been for repealing it, but said he didn't think it should be repealed when the country is at war. He has said that, if he is elected, he does not plan to reinstate it.

That is not true. He was a supporter of the policy for many years. His position has shifted back and forth, just as it has on most issues.

LOL..There you go tap dancing for Willard's shennanigans again. He's for it but he's not, rinse and repeat.
Romney was against repealing it during a war. Now that it has been repealed, he's against reinstating it.
Would you like to start talking about Obama's many flip flops, which are far more numerous than Romney's?
So he was for repeal, then against repeal and now he's against reinstating the repeal. Yep, that's Willard. He'll go wherever the wind blows. Betting keep your tap shoes clean.
So? You claimed that Romney was always for repealing it. That's false. He supported the policy from 1993 until 2011. He was against repealing it when Congress repealed it last year, but now that it's been repealed he sees no reason to change current policy.
