I don't understand the outrage, by the way.
You're probably not poor, so you wouldn't understand how higher prices on the necessities will keep you poor.

Instead, you can feel better about yourself sending another $50/month to the utility company thinking you're actually doing something positive for the planet. Of course, that won't be the case. But don't let that stop the Tony Robbins warm fuzzies.

Have you read either the bill or the amendment to the bill ?
It's not what you think it is.

Just watch a new derivative market spring up trading and hedging in "carbon credits".

Don't interfere with the good vibes on guilty self-righteous "environmentalist" types.

i guess there are a few republicans, as well as a bunch of democrats, who don't understand that our biggest trade deficit is with countries that don't sell us oil, china and japan. this will just help china on their road to power and help us on our road to decline. way to go! and obama had the nerve to say this:

"Make no mistake," he emphasized. "This is a jobs bill." HELL NO!

comment from the steel industry:
U.S. steel companies are also opposed. They fear the bill doesn't do enough to shield them from a competitive advantage that would accrue to firms in countries that don't operate under emissions caps. they are absolutely right, and bye-bye manufacturing jobs!

OBAMA
A NEW CHAPTER IN HISTORY
CHAPTER 13
