Right-wing rhetoric is so blatently dishonest, yet to a mark such as the OP, I'm sure it just instills confidence; a con-man's objective. Case in point: "Everyone understands..."

Everyone doesn't understand, but I'll tell you, OP. Aggregate demand is way down. To get the economy moving, demand must be increased. Do you know what word is synonymous with "aggregate demand?"

Spend money to make money? I think that refers to investment in a buisness, not just blowing dough. The way you increase demand is by cutting taxes. "Stimulus" removes money from the private sector and actually makes things worse- see Japan 1980s.

The nation forgot Jimmy Carter. We need to have another generation live through the experience. All the banter is hogwash- history has shown us already what works and what does not. Tax cuts work. Mandating home loans to people who cannot affort them does not.

Medicare, 4% administration cost compared to routinley 20-50% in private for profit sector.
Do you know why it's so low?

The figure that obama likes to tout, and that you have listed, doesn't include normal operating costs like rent, management, insurance, taxes, new equipment.

Those costs are listed elsewhere in the federal budget.
