Lol, you're trying to say Obama is another Chavez? Loosen that tinfoil.

Thanks for the links about Chavez and Venezuela though, they're very interesting.

Enacting regulations does not mean "control over banking" as in for personal or governmental gain, sorry. Whoever had been elected president in 2008 would have been responsible for setting up new regs, some of which were already in the works months before the election -- rewriting some SEC regulations for one.

Even Phil Gramm has said it's time for new regulations.

"Cap and trade" has been around in the US for years. "Cap and trade" is transacted according to free market means. Look it up, sorry.

I don't know about the unemployment rate in January was, but I can tell you that my stocks were up in January 2009 much more than they are now.

Face it, MovingForward, nanny government it not working. I saw Obama talking out of both sides of his mouth the other day and actually felt a little sorry for him. He was telling us what we needed to do and I felt like telling him: We don't need to change because we get it, now when will you start to get it. I feel more sorry for our country though. Hope the people wake up soon, while we maybe still have a country.

The unemployment rate in January 2009 was 7.6%.

You cannot possibly be saying that you think your stocks are down because Obama took office in January.

Ah ignorance is bliss! You didn't read my link did you?

Of course regulations result in more government control.

Again this poster clearly doesn't understand that a government enforced mandate is by definition is anti free market.

shorebaby, the bill is just a set of rules by which the players in the game will play. Games have rules, these are the rules for emissions trading and emissions control.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress agreed that it's not an option to just do nothing.
