Since he claims 1/16th native american ancestry, maybe he can get a job dealing blackjack at a casino on a reservation somewhere. I'm sure he could take some slack jawed liberals of their cash and they wouldn't even know he was cheating them.

Katiana is right. There are a lot of them distancing themselves from him.
If Churchill had been rehired, just his walking around the campus shows that CU looks the other way to academic misconduct. It would also look like CU is establishing standards of academic excellence but not being able to implement them.

If you think Churchill got the trap door pulled on him, how would you like to be his attorney, David Lane? Lane takes only civil rights cases. And his fees are paid only if he wins the case. He has stated that the firm has spent $1.2 million dollars on this. Hmm.

If only the Judge could have stripped this scumbag of his citizenship!

What's that I hear? Cries of the unwashed shouting 'He's being oppressed! He's being oppressed!'

Unfortunately this asshat will get a job somewhere, probably UC Berkeley.
I guess old Ward can get on the unemployment line. The trouble is that being that stupid only the democrats in Washington will be able offer him a position.

Why do you think he should have lost his U.S. citizenship? Is it simply because you didn't like what he said?

Does anyone else here think he should have lost his citizenship over this?

A quick note on Churchill. Today's Denver Post had an article stating CU has notified him that he is obliged to pay them a shade over $10,000 in legal fees over the latest legal wrangling of all this.

Even better, the Daily Camera (Boulder's newspaper) reported that the amount could reach about $50,000:

CU billing Churchill up to $50,000 in legal expenses (http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2009/jul/08/ward-churchill-university-colorado-legal-bills - broken link)

BOULDER, Colo. — Ward Churchill could find himself on the hook for up to $50,000 in out-of-pocket costs the University of Colorado incurred fighting the lawsuit filed by the former ethnic studies professor, CU’s lead attorney said Wednesday.

CU lawyer Patrick O’Rourke said he plans to file for recovery of those costs — which include flying witnesses in and out of Colorado and creating deposition transcripts — within the next 15 days and that the amount would be around $50,000.

“We’ve got to go through and add it up — it’s not a staggering number,” he said.

The university, as the prevailing party in the case, is entitled to have Churchill cover its out-of-pocket costs. . .
