There is SUPPOSED to be a little over 4,600 TONS of gold bullion @ Knox.

Which roughly equals $134 BILLION. Not to mention 1933 double eagles (the last one of those that sold at auction sold for almost 8 million for one), as well as various 22kt gold coins, and gold coin sheets.

Aside from all of the annual Federal Reserve Audits I listed in posting #19 in this "merged thread", please also keep in mind that all of the TARP related expenditures are monitored and audited by a separate Inspector General:

U.S. Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) (http://www.sigtarp.gov/index.shtml - broken link)

Would it be an exaggeration to say that the Federal Reserve has become a shadow government, several times the size of the entity that’s supposed to be our real government?

If we can judge by the resources involved then we would have to answer yes. The Federal Reserve seems to be disposing of more of our wealth than even our cancerous elected government does.

there are 5 new sponsors of the audit the fed bill.
Here they are:

Rep Lofgren, Zoe [CA-16] - 7/7/2009 democrat
Rep Chandler, Ben [KY-6] - 7/7/2009 democrat
Rep Harman, Jane [CA-36] - 7/7/2009 democrat
Rep Murphy, Christopher S. [CT-5] - 7/7/2009 democrat
Rep Gallegly, Elton [CA-24] - 7/7/2009 republican

This brings the total number of cosponsors for HR 1207 to 250! good for you, new sponsors! these are the remaining republicans who have not signed onto this legislation:
2 Diaz-Balart, Lincoln R FL 21st his brother Mario has signed on Lincoln hasn't
3 Kirk, Mark Steven R IL 10th
4 Rogers, Harold R KY 5th
5 Emerson, Jo Ann R MO 8th
6 Sullivan, John R OK 1st

ask them why not? in florida, i tried to contact lincoln diaz-balart but they won't submit emails if you are not in the specific district that they cover. the democrat list is a lot longer so it can be found on the first page. if they are in your district, bombard them with emails and ask them why not? BARNEY FRANK SEEMS TO BE HOLDING THIS BILL UP, SO HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE! NO DOUBT MR. IMF BANKSTER WANTS THIS BILL TO DIE!

pelosi won't sign onto the bill, but the chairman of the financial services committee, Barney Frank,(D-MA) continues to postpone a vote on HR 1207 and has not cosigned on the bill. he is allied closely with the banking special interests and the FED, so no cooperation can be expected from him.
