Have you been living under a rock? Are you saying you don't recall ANY pressure from ANYONE, ANYWHERE around the world pressuring the United States to make a move regarding detainees? Selective forgetfulness seems to be the new fad on this forum.

and Angela Merkel opined as how Gitmo should not exist, in 2006.

That's the whole problem with the liberal mindset. You look at the information and then derationalize it to make your point. Anyone who can sit there and say that Bush (and Obama for that matter) are not and have not been under pressure regarding the release of Gitmo detainees is nothing short of delusional.
