Of course many are going to be critical of the terrible direction this country is headed in. This is still America and we have the right to be critical of a bungling government
Were you critical of the "bungling government" over the past 8 years?

This country IS headed in a "terrible direction," but so far that's because of Bush, not Obama. Not enough time has passed to be able to judge the Obama administration. In any case, Obama has been saying for months that things would get worse before they got better. We've had 28 years--including Clinton--of a free market out of control, and it's now come crashing down on us. The price to be paid will be huge. And it won't be over for a very, very long time. To blame Obama--which the wingnuts on here have been doing since January 21--is ridiculous.

I was critical, I thought that he was wrong for bailing out companies with tax breaks and he was indecisive in his monitoring of the war. It could have been over with MUCH sooner.

I don't blame obama for alot of this, but he isn't doing anything to make things better

He claimed taxes would not be raised. During the campaign. Before the bottom fell out of the economy.
Uh..no. He was spouting the $250K spiel all the way to the end - the bottom fell out in Sept.

Your posts are starting to sound the same again. Whining and complaining about thread topics and posters.

Did you forget both him and McCain flew back to Washington to say YES to bankster bailouts ?
She knows, but she has to grab at whatever straws she can.

The only thing Obama should get blamed for is putting the finishing move on the economy.

Your false premise that what he proposes will not work and will not help.
It's not a premise - it is reality.

The stimulus is a bust.

You're the loser. You remind me of the movie scene where a guy is being fed his own brain. And he seems to be relishing the dish.
I'm still laughing at this and the image - spot on, btw.

Obama was not running the economy at that time. He was campaigning.
Yeah, and he made a ton of promises, didn't he? The NO NEW TAXES for those making under $250k was a pledge made in stone and people actually believed him. I bet you did too.

I know that "Libertarians" think they're just so uber-cool, having escaped the mundane ideological traps that have crippled the rest of us poor saps, who still--endearingly--believe in the American political system. Spare me. I've have enough friends from that side of the aisle over the years to know better.

You got it, tough guy!

Ignore me NOW. Thank you.

You cannot compare criticism of Bush and criticism of Obama like they are equal. Thats absurd. Bush was criticized AFTER making mistakes that led to irreparable damage to the country. He deserved every word said about him. Meanwhile Obama has been crucified before he ever took office, hell righties were blaming fluctuations in the stock market on him before he was even sworn in...

Seriously, the biggest argument Republicans have is that Obama said he wouldn't increase taxes for families making under 250k a year, but then he raised taxes on cigarettes.... And thats their big piece de la resistance. Anyone that isn't currently choking to death on ignorance can see how ridiculous that is.
