Today at the Sotomayor hearing senator Jeff Sessions told former NAACP Washington DC bureau director Wade Henderson "we're going to do that crack cocaine thing that you and I have talked about before."
This drug abusing loser should be thrown out of the Congress.
texdav apparently hasn't been watching the "hearings". We've been trying to tell the righties for a long time now that it's disingenuous to take statements made out of context. But because Drudge and Rush constantly play up minimal sound bites you've been making your entire case for anything and everything on those clips.
During the hearings yesterday Sessions said to someone on the panel (and I'm putting this in quotes even though I may have a word or two wrong); "later on we'll get back to that crack cocaine thing we were discussing earlier".
There were a lot of shocked expressions and then a lot of nervous laughter. Sessions had to explain that he was referring to a committe meeting to discuss "balancing" the punishments for "crack" versus "powder" cocaine.
This is why context is so important. And it's funny because Sessions has been making political hay out of the words "wise Latina" while ignoring the 20 minute speech that those words came out of.
For further explanation please see a dictionary and the words; "context", "irony" and "idiot".

He was referring to being in support of reforming drug penalties for those in possession with crack.
I don't think he would be so stupid to talk about his drug habits in front of many reporters, colleagues, etc.
Didn't you know? Cocaine use is now acceptable since Obama admitted past use in his biography. The funny thing is coke accusations were always the silver bullet the Democrats were going to bring down George Bush with. They were always going to trot out an "eyewitness" that saw Bush snort 30 years ago. Well, hell. Now it's OK. Unless of course it's a Republican.

Are you saying Obama's campaign statements and promises shouldn't be taken out of context? You know, like 'distribution of wealth'?
