I like to shop at locally-owned businesses, but I'm not going to pay 100% mark-up over Wal-Mart's price for anti-perspirant or catfood. Especially when the anti-perspirant or catfood is going to be fresher at Wal-Mart because their turnover is so high. And even if I won the lottery, I'd still clip coupons and use them, because I like saving money.
Please elaborate...really.

and what locally owned businesses do you actually shop at if you are buying everything from WalMart anyway?

please do explain.

I consider WALMARTS trade policies an UnAmerican activity, which has done more to destroy our country than Osama could dream. I wouldn't shop at WALMART if it was free.

I have posted on here MANY times examples of how they rape the local retailers until they are out of business and then start raising their prices in that area.Prime example of monopolistic.

Wal-mart is simply following the business practices developed by Standard Oil of New Jersey by John D. Rockefeller in the early 1900's. Wal-mart abuses the market to obtain monopoly profit when the competitors are driven out of business. This is, BTW, illegal in our country but the government has not seen fit to prosecute. I wonder why?

I'm not buying everything at Wal-Mart, nor did I ever say so.

I'm supporting a local company because Wal-Mart is a local company.
