I love how those on both sides conveniently forget or simply make excuses for 'their guy'....

Keep voting for the same crap and yet constantly surprised DC smells like....poopoo.

Bingo!!! People will work for and have less.

Great! Perfect opportunity for you to get additional education in your extra time, so that you're more employable. Or, plenty of time in which to pick up a second job.

Personally I don't care if you're employed or unemployed -- you're saying that there aren't jobs out there to be had, and making excuse after excuse as to why one can't find a job, and I'm calling shenanigans on it because it's just not true.

Using age as an excuse is a cop-out. I stand behind my statement that if someone REALLY wants to work, there's jobs to be had.

"We don't need not stinkin' Socialism!" - isn't that the type of thing YOU folks are always harping on - so CLEARLY the unemployed must not need that benefit. They just need to "stand on their own 2 feet and quit running to 'nanny" government for help"

Ken
Kind of hard to do when you've been chopped off at the knees.

I hope you never have to look for a job at age 58.

My father felt as you did, expressed it MANY times. Then he got laid off, at age 55. He hadn't even looked for a job in over 20 years. He never did get another full-time, permanent job. He was out of work for months at a time between 'consulting' jobs.

I believe when people are in dire straits this is considered understandable if not permissable.
Only if jail is one of your options - they will let you slide on the break and enter if they see you didnt damage, but they are going after the vandals now.

I'm 48. I just looked for and found two jobs in the space of ten days. And I'm in one of the highest unemployment areas in the USA.

I was a carefree HS student in '81. What was done then?
