I offer no apologies for what Kennedy did or didn't do in the Kopechne death, but to wish this man a horrible death and say it is divine retribution is awful. And don't give me any of this crap about "Libs do this, too". I don't.
Since the crime was only manslaughter, maybe it would've been cruel to inflict it on him so early. Since Ted lived a pretty disdainful life, perhaps God wanted to judge him a little earlier than normal?

The reals shame is that Kennedy is an alcoholic murdering fat slob whose pathetic life was recently saved by the finest medical care in the world, yet as long as he is still breathing, he is working to destroy the same system that saved him. Its too bad that he didn't have to go to a government run VA system with his brain tumor, we probably wouldn't have to see his sorry face again if that were the case.
The Kopechne family did not bring any legal action against Senator Kennedy, but they did receive a payment of $90,904 from the Senator personally and $50,000 from his insurance company. The Kopechnes later explained their decision to not take legal action by saying that "We figured that people would think we were looking for blood money.
