Via American Pravda - aka NYT

Quote:
A half-dozen senators friendly to labor have decided to drop a central provision of a bill that would have made it easier to organize workers.
The so-called card-check provision — which senators decided to scrap to help secure a filibuster-proof 60 votes — would have required employers to recognize a union as soon as a majority of workers signed cards saying they wanted a union.
A few Democrats have some sense.

Even though you slight the NYT by calling it "the American Pravda," you believe what it prints...

actually it's a good idea to drop it -- workers can still organize, and faster now too. Even without this, with stronger national labor support in place workers cant be as easily intimidated as in the past.

There are other sources that are reporting the same. Use your fingers and google it.

Lol, not my thread. The OP chose "the American Pravda" as his source, not me.

So what. The topic of the thread is not the source - why do you care?

I wuz jus askin -- it was peculiar that he would cite the NYT if he doesnt trust it.

I do think it's a good idea to drop the card check, though, if they're negotiating.

In fact, for a straight news-reporting article, OP, that one you link to has a decidedly pro-business slant.
