The only reason i find this story interesting is the lack of news coverage concerning a state wanting to split from the US. Since Obama has become president 37 states have proposed similar bills.

Just so people don't get the wrong idea. All this signing does is say that a specific state doesn't want to go ahead with some national proposal. The federal government ONLY has powers over the states for things listed in the US Constitution. This is just a state saying it is opting out.

States have proposed countless of these votes over the decades. 37 states have proposed bills since January, but those same states and all the rest of them have done this on things going back 200 years.

It has nothing at all to do with LEAVING the United States.
