Legal permits mean nothing as far as the bullet.

And you do know that you are 22 times more likely to kill/injure a family member with that firearm that expresses your rage and fear thaan you are to protet yourself with same?

But, we digress.

I am aware Geechie. I was in the Reserves and learned to shoot as well as the dangers of guns.

Can you convince us why health care should not fall under General Welfare clause like Navy falls under Common Defence? Providing common defence is a mandate for the government. The Constitution ORDERS the government to provide common defence, just like it ORDERs it to provide General Welfare. So what is General Welfare, and why should health care not be included in it? I have heard arguments for and against, but I haven't heard anything from you, except that the Constitution is about freedom. It is not about just about freedom, it is a rulebook for the government, with some additions about personal freedoms for the citizens. The Constitution orders the government to perform certain tasks, and it authorizes them to perform others.
Because the general welfare clause is to "promote" not "provide". The defense is "provided" which is why we pay taxes for it. When you promote, you do not demand, control, or regulate.

Sure.

Excuse me if I do not believe you re: point #1.

But as to women arming themselves: You are aware, I'm sure, of the various studies that show as the crime rate has fallen, the coverage of crime by the media has risen?

But that's how plutocracy works:

Mind control. Keep 'em afraid, off-balance.

It's how we got the Oil War.

But again, we digress.

Then you are aware of the pails full of sand outside of every mess hall in Iraq?

Why are they there?

There are three types of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics. Which is yours sir?

Please provide those studies, with links directly to their sources. If you can not, then see my previous post.
